You can follow the Tamiami Trail down to Bradenton and Sarasota with lots of gorgeous beaches and a string of islands that hug the coast. This area is also the spring training camp for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Minnesota Twins or Boston Red Sox if you are a baseball fan.
With waterfront estates along the shore and more casual little towns and big marinas – there is something for everyone along the Gulf. Cape Coral and South Fort Myers near Naples offer a great destination with many tropical waterways and fun-filled adventures awaiting you. You can have your Florida villa in any of these gulf cities and still be within a few hours’ drive of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale if you wanted to have more night life or venture out of this area.
