Orlando Villas - How To Find The Perfect One

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

What should you look for when renting an Orlando villa?

Villas in Orlando vary widely in size and layout. Many are single storey but from 4 bedrooms upwards can be 2 storeys.

Most Orlando villas benefit from having their own pool usually screened. This thin mesh keeps out the insects and any other predators from your pool area.  The size of the decking area and view from the pool influences many visitors’ vacations.  If you prefer to relax and have few neighbours ensure this aspect is something your rental home benefits from. Alternatively use the advanced search facility referring to “overlooks lake or water” if this is something you would prefer your home to have.  If you are visiting Orlando between the months of September – May we would advise that you check that your pool benefits from some form of additional pool heating other than solar. Our first visit to Florida was in February and the pool did not have additional heating available. We have learned from our mistake!

Most Orlando villas have a full fitted kitchen benefitting from all modern facilities and often include a separate full utility room with washer and dryer or alternatively some of the smaller homes have these fitted within their garage. Air conditioning is the norm in the main living areas of all Orlando homes.

The vast majority of Orlando villas now have some form of games room, normally within their garage area. These vary in equipment however normally a pool table, table tennis or air hockey etc. Few are air conditioned but the majority do have a ceiling fan or other cooling facility as a minimum.

Depending on size the villas within Orlando normally have at least one master en-suite bedroom but normally two or more. The master bedrooms usually benefit from a walk in clothes closet or dressing room too.  Many bedrooms usually have a TV of some size within each bedroom. In many homes a Character bedroom is also provided which are particularly attractive to the young or young at heart!

All bedding and towels are normally provided as the norm to a good high quality. The home owners all have arrangements in place with their Management Companies for these to be provided, cleaned and maintained.

Technology varies in homes; many now provide a large flat screen TV as the norm. Some even have music systems piped around the house.

Looking for an Orlando villa or rental property?

If you are new to renting an Orlando villa or rental property we hope this article provides some guidance as to the options to choose from.

By using the advanced search facility on our website you can search easily for area e.g. Orlando Disney and then just on numbers of bedrooms and specific date range. Owners are advised to maintain their availability calendars to ensure they receive only the most appropriate enquiries for their home.

Contact can then be made with the owner by phoning or completing the brief contact form with your name, email address and dates required etc. Should you choose to send more than one enquiry the enquiry form remains completed until you leave the website. This saves you time as you can resend to various owners.

Or why not use our General Enquiry facility. Again by filling in a basic template this is then sent to us as an email. We then process this General Enquiry and send to the relevant size home owners who are showing availability for the required period.

Very soon you will then receive emails from home owners providing an exact quote and further details of their home.

How Do I Know Where To Start?

We would recommend prior to commencing your search for your Orlando rental that you consider;-

·         Dates and number of nights

·         Who and how many are going to be staying in your home? (Plan normally for 2 people to a bedroom)

·         How many master bedrooms are required as a minimum?

·         Are there any facilities which are a “must have” i.e. disabled access, baby facilities, wireless internet

·         Which facilities would be seriously nice to have i.e. spa, games room

·         Which facilities would you would be able to forego and still enjoy your holiday.

Once you have considered the points above, you have the basics to use to fill out the advanced search facility. In this way you will be able to ensure that you contact only the most appropriate home owners and are more likely to find the dream home for your stay.

Why is Wannavilla an excellent website to advertise your property on?

We ask that you maintain your availability calendar. This is because Wannavilla was specifically designed to assist enquirers find properties with their required facilities for their required dates. In this way we can ensure that only the most appropriate general enquiries are sent to you.  If your calendar is showing as fully booked for some dates, you should not receive any enquiries for that period.
