Late Villa Deals
Sunday, April 26th, 2009
There are thousands of villas available for rental in Florida, so how do you get a late villa deal? The biggest saving you will make by far is booking with the villa owner direct rather than through an agent. Villa owners pay to advertise their properties on vacation rental websites and want to deal with you direct as it cuts out paying commission to agents. Ultimately saving you and the villa owner money, so book direct. A good vacation rental website will allow you to search on required dates, and feature special or late villa deals. Prices are usually quoted per night for the villa and not per person, so it can be surprisingly affordable. Remember villa owners don’t want their villas to sit empty, as an empty villa is not paying for itself, so if you can hold your nerve to within of few weeks of departure you can often bag yourself a bargain. Sending a last minute General Enquiry to multiple villa owners asking for a late villa deal will usually come up trumps. Check the availability calendar for a property. If it has been maintained but there are not many nights booked this could be a sign that an owner may be willing to negotiate more on price. Don’t be afraid to make an owner an offer for renting their home. The worst that can happen is that they say no. However keep it realistic the owner has bills to pay too.
