Cheap villa Orlando

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

There are thousands if you know where to look.

When I say cheap please don’t misunderstand me, in the very vast majority of cases Florida’s cheap villas are in fact luxury accommodation by anyone’s standards. They are built to a very high standard, physically large, on big plots, the majority with their own private swimming pool.

When you compare the cost of hiring a similar property elsewhere in the world, rental homes in Orlando and elsewhere in Florida are cheap. It is not out of the ordinary to find villas for £50/$75 per night, remember that is for the villa and not per person, truly making a villa a cheap option! An equivalent rental property in say Portugal or France or even elsewhere in the USA would be around double the price (and more) as a minimum. They provide excellent value for money particularly if you would have to hire more than one hotel room for your party.

To find cheap villas in Florida book direct with the owner through reputable vacation rental website. If you are looking for a truly cheap villa in Florida you do not have to compromise on quality, if you are prepared to book at the last minute even better late deals can be found.. Late deals are weeks which the villa owners have not sold and are keen to fill, you can bag yourself a bargain if you can hold your nerve!

This is self catering in true luxury style. The furnishings within the homes are normally to a very high standard and include many of the following as the norm;-

Air-conditioning

Pool / Spa

Large living rooms, large sofas and TV’s to match

Good size bedrooms often with over sized beds.

Villas typically range from 3 beds up to 6 bed villas , some have even 7 or 8!

Fully equipped kitchens - large ovens, American Fridge Freezers

Utility rooms with everything you could need including washing machines, driers and even an iron!

Dining Areas both inside and out-  Excellent for use for some home cooking making your stay more affordable.

Games room – many include Pool tables, Air hockey or Ping Pong

Gaming machines e.g. X-box PS3 etc

Baby facilities, many have cots and highchair etc. Often if they are not within the home already arrangements can be made to hire them via the management companies.

All bedding and towels

Internet access

Free telephone calls within the US

Cheap villa Orlando. The answer is definitely yes, not on quality, comfort or enjoyment, but on price only.

Favourite Florida Theme Park

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Not because I am a fast roller coaster fanatic but I love the attention to detail that Disney provides. Customer focus is obviously a high priority and starts from the minute you park your car and step onto the tram taking you to the ticketing centre.  I can hear the words now “ for guest joining us today your car is parked in car park Goofy, my name is….., keep your hands in the vehicle….. have a magical day …..”

Every which way you turn the plants and landscaping is both well designed and fit with the theme of the locality, such as at Magic Kingdom where many of the plants are shaped into instantly recognisable cartoon characters.

I also enjoy the smile on the staff faces and their energy. They actually do seem to enjoy their roles and their enthusiasm passes on to the visitors to give all a memorable visit.

Magic Kingdom is a delight for first time visitors particularly the parades which just cannot be equalled. The Spectro Magic parade is just magical, but I think I enjoy Epcot the most. My favourite rides there are Test Track and Soaring. Again I love the detail and atmosphere around the World Showcase. In particular I love to watch the enormous fountain just prior to the entrance to World Showcase. Periodically the water is synchronised with music, it falls and rises to the volume and beat of the music.

I also like the fact that with Disney all visitors have equal access to use the fast pass facility without an extra charge being incurred.  After visiting some of the other competitors it really frustrates me having paid a few hundred pounds not to be able to actually get on any rides without a queue of around 90 minutes at times, unless I pay more!

I particularly enjoy the water parks at Disney, Typhoon Lagoon being a firm family favourite but Blizzard beach is a close second. The Crush “n” Gusher water ride at Typhoon is a great, the force of the water as it pushes you along in an inflatable is amazing.  The family ride at Blizzard beach is well worth the climb up the mountain and is suitable for all members of the family across the age spectrum. We also like the ice cream in a bucket! Lots of layers of ice cream, fruit sauces etc and topped with sprinkles and cherry. Delicious!

Orlando Villas - How To Find The Perfect One

What should you look for when renting an Orlando villa?

Villas in Orlando vary widely in size and layout. Many are single storey but from 4 bedrooms upwards can be 2 storeys.

Most Orlando villas benefit from having their own pool usually screened. This thin mesh keeps out the insects and any other predators from your pool area.  The size of the decking area and view from the pool influences many visitors’ vacations.  If you prefer to relax and have few neighbours ensure this aspect is something your rental home benefits from. Alternatively use the advanced search facility referring to “overlooks lake or water” if this is something you would prefer your home to have.  If you are visiting Orlando between the months of September – May we would advise that you check that your pool benefits from some form of additional pool heating other than solar. Our first visit to Florida was in February and the pool did not have additional heating available. We have learned from our mistake!

Most Orlando villas have a full fitted kitchen benefitting from all modern facilities and often include a separate full utility room with washer and dryer or alternatively some of the smaller homes have these fitted within their garage. Air conditioning is the norm in the main living areas of all Orlando homes.

The vast majority of Orlando villas now have some form of games room, normally within their garage area. These vary in equipment however normally a pool table, table tennis or air hockey etc. Few are air conditioned but the majority do have a ceiling fan or other cooling facility as a minimum.

Depending on size the villas within Orlando normally have at least one master en-suite bedroom but normally two or more. The master bedrooms usually benefit from a walk in clothes closet or dressing room too.  Many bedrooms usually have a TV of some size within each bedroom. In many homes a Character bedroom is also provided which are particularly attractive to the young or young at heart!

All bedding and towels are normally provided as the norm to a good high quality. The home owners all have arrangements in place with their Management Companies for these to be provided, cleaned and maintained.

Technology varies in homes; many now provide a large flat screen TV as the norm. Some even have music systems piped around the house.

Looking for an Orlando villa or rental property?

If you are new to renting an Orlando villa or rental property we hope this article provides some guidance as to the options to choose from.

By using the advanced search facility on our website you can search easily for area e.g. Orlando Disney and then just on numbers of bedrooms and specific date range. Owners are advised to maintain their availability calendars to ensure they receive only the most appropriate enquiries for their home.

Contact can then be made with the owner by phoning or completing the brief contact form with your name, email address and dates required etc. Should you choose to send more than one enquiry the enquiry form remains completed until you leave the website. This saves you time as you can resend to various owners.

Or why not use our General Enquiry facility. Again by filling in a basic template this is then sent to us as an email. We then process this General Enquiry and send to the relevant size home owners who are showing availability for the required period.

Very soon you will then receive emails from home owners providing an exact quote and further details of their home.

How Do I Know Where To Start?

We would recommend prior to commencing your search for your Orlando rental that you consider;-

·         Dates and number of nights

·         Who and how many are going to be staying in your home? (Plan normally for 2 people to a bedroom)

·         How many master bedrooms are required as a minimum?

·         Are there any facilities which are a “must have” i.e. disabled access, baby facilities, wireless internet

·         Which facilities would be seriously nice to have i.e. spa, games room

·         Which facilities would you would be able to forego and still enjoy your holiday.

Once you have considered the points above, you have the basics to use to fill out the advanced search facility. In this way you will be able to ensure that you contact only the most appropriate home owners and are more likely to find the dream home for your stay.

Why is Wannavilla an excellent website to advertise your property on?

As explained above we are not a site that forwards all general enquiries to all villa owners. We believe this wastes your time and frustrates the enquirer.

We ask that you maintain your availability calendar. This is because Wannavilla was specifically designed to assist enquirers find properties with their required facilities for their required dates. In this way we can ensure that only the most appropriate general enquiries are sent to you.  If your calendar is showing as fully booked for some dates, you should not receive any enquiries for that period. This is our unique selling point. If you would prefer to be constantly receiving inappropriate enquiries for periods when your home is booked then Wannavilla is not the best site for you.

Our site is now 3 years old and lists around 300 properties throughout Florida. It is well established in the search engines such as Google and Yahoo for many keywords used to search for a Florida villa and receives thousands of visits every week from around the world, including the UK, USA and Canada and elsewhere.
