Location Description

Our recently built home, (completed July 2006) is situated in the peaceful and friendly area of Rotonda West, on Florida's Gulf Coast.

The rear garden & pool overlooking a quiet green belt area is screened with beautiful bottlebrush trees.
Numerous golf courses are close at hand and the beautiful beaches of Gasparilla Island, Englewood and Manasota Key are 10/15 minutes by car. There are cycle trails and tennis courts in the nearby municipal park. Several supermarkets are within a 2 mile radius, Walmart, Publix, Winn Dixie and a variety of excellent restaurants within easy reach.

An ideal base for that relaxing beach holiday, yet still within easy driving of the attractions at Sarasota, St Petersburg, Tampa, and The Everglades.

The Port Charlotte shopping mall is 30 min drive but there are great shopping outlets at Ellenton and Miromar about 1 hr drive. City shopping can be found at Fort Myers and Sarasota.

The port of Punta Gorda is 40min drive and from here there are fishing excursions and island boat excursions available.

From Fort Myers you can also take a fast boat to Key West which takes 3hrs and return the same day or stay overnight and return the following day.

The Myakka River State park is 1 hr drive where alligators and Florida wild life can be seen at close quarters.

The villa is 45mins from Sarasota Airport, 1 hour from Fort Myers,90 mins from Tampa airport,
2 hrs 30 min from Orlando/Sanford.

Beautifully furnished to a high standard offering: Family room with two seating areas, one with 32" flat screen LCD T.V. with cable and Home Theatre system for CDs DVDs and IPOD and the other overlooking the pool with two comfy sofas. TV area also has queen size sofa bed for additional guests. Fully air conditioned, plus ceiling fans.
