The Crescent B. Ranch is a working ranch that raises beef cattle and has a Country Store and a Gator Shack for those that get hungry.
The harbor offers all types of cruises that include sunset cruises or day trips to see dolphins and other sea life. You can go on half day cruises or all day ones depending on your mood. Fishing excursions include deep sea fishing or backwater trips for bass and other. The Port Charlotte Beach provides swimming for free along with tennis, horseshoes, a boat ramp and fishing. Ponce de Leon Park offers swimming along with picnic tables and a nature trail and playground.

Fisherman’s Village provides shopping and restaurants and the Alligator Creek Preserve features lots of wildlife and nature trails through swamps and salt marshes. There are tours available or you can hike on your own. The Charlotte County Speedway offers stock car racing every Saturday night. For those who like a more leisurely pace, the Historic Railroad Depot is a museum with local history and the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra offers concerts while Carmalita Athletic Park features softball games and a horse arena. The many beautiful golf courses throughout Punta Gorda offer numerous chances to enjoy a game or two of golf.
